This monthly 3-hour workshop series is more than just framing a good action photo; it breaks down the process of planning and executing a high-level photoshoot.

Learn directly from Red Bull Illume Semi-finalist Katie Lozancich, who will dive into the steps for a successful shoot, ranging from the pre-production, fieldwork, and post-production process.

You show up with your camera and some curiosity, and I'll ensure you walk away with the confidence to nail your next shoot.

HOW IT WORKS

The instructor will spend 20 minutes on each topic, and then let you discuss in small groups for 10 minutes before moving to the next topic. The last 30 minutes of the workshop will be an open Q&A.

In three months, we'll share insight on how to create stronger images and systems and practices that level up your professionalism as a photographer.

Storytelling has been Katie Lozancich's passion ever since she got her first National Geographic subscription as a kid (which she bought with her allowance money). Those glossy pages and rich photographs catalyzed her career as an award-winning freelance storyteller and artist, creating content and stories for countless brands and magazines. Before going Freelance, she honed her skills with Freehub Magazine and Teton Gravity Research.

Originally from the Sacramento area, photography and storytelling have brought Katie all over the globe and continue to take her to wild places and landscapes. Katie tends to wear many creative hats—director, producer, photographer, artist, and writer are just a few to name—and her work blurs the lines between documentary and fine art. She is one of three producers and creatives behind NEXUS, an all-women's ski film directed, produced, and primarily filmed by an all-women's team, which took home the prestigious IF3 award for “Best Storytelling.”

When she's not working, you can find Katie home in western Massachusetts biking, racing, and eager to be outside as much as possible.
